The repertoire selected by the Limnos Quartet reflects the classical and contemporary saxophone tradition with the particularity of a strong local character in their pieces, distinctive of Catalonia.

Line Dances and Heavy Metal

Angela Space will perform two pieces inspired by popular music : San Antonio by J. Harbison and a world premiere of her own piece Full Stop Suicide, with piano and electric guitar.

John Sampen Performs György Kurtág

A saxophone version of György Kurtág’s English horn composition IN NOMINE, which commemorates the assassination of a 20th century Hungarian general and played by John Sampen.

Bach in Image

Arno Bornkamp makes us rediscover transcriptions of solo pieces by J.S. Bach, accompanied by videos of James Murray that will make this concert a total experience.

Opus Band

“Opus Band”, an unusual brotherhood of monks, between the sacred, the profane, rock, Gregorian chants, the Middle Age or electrofunk will involve you in this “trip saxofonico on the way to heaven.”

Ensemble SAXOLOGIE

Ensemble SaxoLogie wishes to transmit the musical heritage of saxophone quartet repertoire. The project is formed of 2 pieces, a link between past and future, opening a window on the québécois’ musical art.

Sugar Bear Saxophone Quartet Performance

The Sugar Bear Saxophone Quartet wants to represent the uniqueness of Thailand. They will perform music from three composers from different origins : D. Maslanka, V. Potavanich and A. Piazzolla.
