Rock Me!

This project explores the versatility of the saxophone through a performance of Barry Cockcroft’s “Rock Me” and mixes slap tongues, growls and voicing effects to simulate the sounds and rhythms of a rock concert.

Silence

“Silence” is a video about multi-disciplinary work ; dance, contemporary classical music, improvised music, electronic sounds and video projections.

Soundpainting

Etienne Rolin, a bordelaise composer, will lead a soundpainting session for six saxophones, about 10 string instruments and up to 3 percussionists for an improvisation within the soundpainters commands.

Repeat

Repeat, a piece by the Portuguese Composer Jorge Salgueiro, with the goal to get the World Guinness Record of the biggest saxophone orchestra: 16 saxophonists on the same stage.

Merci Mr Sax !

“Jamais sans mon sax” is a sax band, including the whole family (from sopranino to the bass), gathering students of the music schools of Epinal, Nancy, Thaon-les-Vosges and Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy.

Quatuor Aulnay performance

This quartet of saxophones consists of 4 students from CRD of Aulnay sous-bois. Presentation of an eclectic program putting forward composers Thierry Escaich and Philippe Geiss.

 

The quartet will also propose a aperitive concert at Le Doo’, 16, rue Saint-Hélène, which proposes reductions for delegates !

Guay-Mendoza performance

Two works : a world premiere for saxophone duo composed by the Canadian Bruce Mather and a trio for two saxophones, piano and electronics by the French Ana Dall’Ara Majek.
