The quintet performs in the biggest festivals and the biggest concert rooms in Europe. Due to a directory specifically designed for it , the ensemble has developed a style and a unique sound, which allow them to make the link between tradition and innovation, between pure chamber music and “l’illusion symphonique”. The great violinist Jozsef Lendvay will be the special guest of the program.

This Ensemble, consisting of 14 saxophonists and a percussionist and well known for their jazzy tone, is committed to fostering the appreciation of the saxophone as a classical orchestral instrument.
Madera Winds Duo Recital
The flute and saxophone duo will perform two pieces, one transcription of Robert Muczynski’s Duos (originally for flute and clarinet) and one commissioned by the group ‘ All Aflutter’ by Dominic Dousa.

The Constant Concertante is a fabulous piece for orchestra and saxophone; its current state is a reduced score for piano and saxophone. Liz Ames has added missing parts with extended techniques.
