Rondó da Carpideira is inspired by the work of enthnomusicologist Michel Giacometti. A mix of portuguese music, videos, tradition and modernity gathered in a music concert.
Biography
Rondó da Carpideira as been presented on several museums and auditoriums such as Institut Francais Portugal, Portugal Popular Music Museum, Monastery of Alcobaça, Cience Museum and International saxofone festival of Palmela.
Released double CD & DVD recently recorded album through a successful campaign of crowdfounding.
Mário Marques
Established Saxophone player both nationally and internationally. Gulbenkian Orchestra, The Gift, Saxofínia, saxophone Quartet, Bernardo Sassetti, . He also works as a saxophone teacher in Évora University and as a producer of many musical projects.
Daniel Bernardes
Young pianist and composer. In 2010 is awarded the “Best Performer Prize” in prestigious Portuguese Jazz Fest.
Making several appearances in the most important Portuguese concert halls .

The Rondo da Carpideira is a multi-disciplinary show created in a tribute to
Work of Michel Giacometti based on is ethno-musical collections in
Portugal, presented on the seventies television program “People who sings”. Featured
by Mário Marques – saxophonist, Daniel Bernardes – Pianist and
Gonçalo Tarquinio in video and visual design of the show. The concept of
the concert is the mixing of both classical and jazz languages in to popular music themes developed by this musicians on stage.
. The show has several moments of musical improvisation,
always based on what was played or sung by the actors in
videos, and improvisation a means of developing the themes musically
melodic or rhythmic shown in the records.
