NAFA Saxophone Quartet performance

The NAFA Saxophone Quartet is made up of saxophone performance majors at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Works by Li, Singelée, Ligeti, Rivier and a transcription of de Orlando de Lasso’s tryptic.

Biography

The NAFA Saxophone Quartet is made up of saxophone performance majors at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Since its debut performance in 2013, the quartet has performed at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium 2013 and 2014, the Assisi Hospice Centre, and other venues in Singapore. In August 2014, the quartet participated in the International Wind Band Festival in Taiwan 2014. Besides putting up a performance as part of an outdoor band marathon, the quartet also had the opportunity of presenting a “flashmob” presentation at the Taoyuan International Airport. In November 2014, the quartet was invited to Penang, Malaysia to perform and host an educational workshop at the Prince of Wales Island International School, as well as the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
