The flute and saxophone duo will perform two pieces, one transcription of Robert Muczynski’s Duos (originally for flute and clarinet) and one commissioned by the group ‘ All Aflutter’ by Dominic Dousa.
Biography
After forming at New York University, Madera Winds has performed across the United States. They often include guest artists in their performances, and have begun commissioning contemporary composers to enrich the chamber music repertoire available to all musicians. They are also dedicated educators, and Nathaniel is currently Professor of Woodwinds and Music History at East Central University.
They have own competitions both as a duo and individually, and have commissioned and performed double concertos with the Mesilla Valley Concert Band.
