Biography

I consider myself a dynamic musician. I feel most involved in nowadays music and I am always open to new artistic experiences.

After graduating in Barcelona I studied in France with Christophe Bois, Philippe Braquart and Damien Royannais with the best marks. This experience has very much marked my professional career.

I have given the premiere of several works with my baritone saxophone (solo, with electronics, chamber music…) by different composers.

I have got different projects including outstanding works from the repertoire of the baritone saxophone: COLOURS (music and visual arts), 21th CENTURY MUSIC FOR BARITONE SAXOPHONE and MADE IN BCN.

Made in Barcelona wants to show the whole world the renewed side of Catalan music nowadays.

This proposal has original works for baritone saxophone by composers who have any kind of attachment (artistic, professional or personal) with Barcelona.

Barcelona, as the cultural capital of Catalonia and one of the most important cultural cities in the world, has been a double center of attraction. On the one hand, it has captivated some composers from different origins (also national as international, like the Argentinians Sergio Fidemraizer and Oliver Rappoport) and, on the other hand, it has projected some others internationally, like Hèctor Parra and Joan Bagés to France or Enric Riu and Joan Arnau Pàmies to the United States.

I will premiere al Saxopen 2015 three works for baritone saxophone (solo and electronics) by Joan Bagés, Francesc Gregori and Enric Riu.
