Biography
Over the last few years the Saxophone Class of Escola Profissional Metropolitana has been enhancing its work in chamber music, namely the Ensemble de Saxofones, under the pedagogic and artistic direction of Prof. João Pedro Silva.
Ensemble de Saxofones is one of the groups emerging from AMEC/Metropolitana’s educational project, whose main goal is to create a solid relation between performance and pedagogic practice.
In addition to the work they develop as a group, there is also the individual commitment of the saxophone students whose artistic level has been increasing and largely recognized not only by the teacher and the school, but also by their successful participation in several competitions.
