Arca String Quartet and Stef Verpraet performance

Arca string quartet and Stef Verpraet, an ensemble founded in Brussel under the guidance of Guy Danel, combines pieces of well known composers and pieces of promising young composers.

Biography

The Arca Stringquartet was founded at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Since its inception they have been under the close guidance of Guy Danel.
The Arca Quartet is a young and dynamic string quartet playing a wide range of repertoire from the classical to the contemporary period.
In June 2013 the quartet was invited to give a chamber music recital at the Festival Musiq3 of the National Radio in Brussels.

Stef Verpraet studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with H. de Jong where he graduates with Maxima Cum Laude for saxophone and Magna Cum Laude for chamber music. After his studies Stef went to Tilburg to studie with A. Van Zoelen. Stef is founder of the Antwerp saxophone quartet, and travelled around the world as bass saxophone player with the Belgian saxophone Ensemble
