Biography
The Bavarian Police Orchestra (Polizeiorchester Bayern), with its roots in Munich, Germany, is a professional Wind Ensemble of the Bavarian Police. The ensemble has existed over 60 years. It began with 30 police officers, but has grown to a professional musician ensemble with 46 members. The mission of the Bavarian Police Orchestra is to link the police to the community. The ensemble, in cooperation with different organizations in Bavaria, organize over 60 benefit concerts a year, sharing their mission and resources with those in need.
Prof. Johann Mösenbichler has served as Artistic Director and conductor of the Bavarian Police Band since 2006 in addition to his position as faculty at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria.
