InSax aims to create a new kind of costarican artist, not only to offer a multifarious and fresh repertoire between pop, world, electronic, or jazz, but also to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Biography
InSax is the result of years of music and friendship between four costarican profesional saxophonists, Jan, Lalo, Checko and Memo.
The idea is to create a new kind of costarican artist, not only to contribute with an original and fresh repertoire but having a serious link with environmental initiatives.
The first edition of this album was donated to help several foundations related to these interests, that have become stronger at this times.
Initially the project was intended as a saxophone quartet, but the compositions needed more textures. That’s how an electric bass, synths, drums, ethnic percussion and loops were added to get a new and inspiring fussion that includes pop, latin, world, electronic, jazz and even classical music.
