Spanish composer Luis Serrano Alarcón and Belgian composer Piet Swerts are creating new works for saxophone and piano, dedicating them to Kenneth Tse.
Biography
Widely recognized as one of the leading classical saxophonists in the world, Tse began his career as a winner of the New York Artists International Competition, making his Carnegie Hall debut in 1996 and being hailed “a young virtuoso” by the New York Times. Since then he has been a frequent soloist and clinician in five continents making appearances with major ensembles around the globe. Tse has been a prolific recording artist since his first CD for Crystal Records at age 23 and has had over thirty compositions by various composers worldwide dedicated to him. He is currently Professor of Saxophone at the University of Iowa and Vice President of the International Saxophone Committee and President of the North American Saxophone Alliance. www.kenneth-tse.com
