We Bop, composed in 1995 by Gerard Brophy was the result of a commission from Duo Contemporain. For most of the piece the saxophone and vibraphone play in rhythmic unison, Brophy draws upon classical and jazz influences, using catchy bebop style riffs and elements of rhythmic displacement.
