The NATO Saxophone Orchestra, formed of eleven representatives from NATO member nations’ military bands conducted by CPT Aaron Morris will perform works by S. Dankner & S. Reich.

The NATO Saxophone Orchestra consists of eleven representatives selected from NATO member nations’ military bands and would be conducted by the USAREUR Band & Chorus executive officer, CPT Aaron Morris.

The United States Army Europe Band & Chorus would like to host a 1-hour performance for the 2015 World Saxophone Congress by the NATO Saxophone Orchestra. The NATO Saxophone Orchestra would consist of eleven representatives selected from NATO member nations’ military bands and would be conducted by the USAREUR Band & Chorus executive officer, CPT Aaron Morris. The concert program would consist of: Symphony for Saxophone Chamber Orchestra by Stephen Dankner, New York Counterpoint by Steve Reich, and other works still to be decided; possibly a newly commissioned work.

This performance would be an outstanding opportunity to showcase the diversity and musical professionalism of military saxophonists from multiple nations and would appeal to an audience just as diverse. This performance would highlight the universal language of music and its ability to transcend linguistic, cultural, and political boundaries.
