Cuarteto Itálica premieres two works of composers from Collective ECCA : “Itálica” composed by the Andalusian composer A.Romero Ramírez and “Wad al-Kabir” composed by the Valencian composer P. Molina.
Biography
Cuarteto Itálica: Founded in 1989 by José Antonio Santos (Professor of Saxophone at the Conservatory of Music of Seville) with didactic intentions, later evolving into vocational training. The Cuarteto Itálica has placed special emphasis on working closely with composers with the aim of encouraging music composition intended for this type of training in particular and the saxophone in general. The result has been the creation of about thirty works dedicated and premiered by the group of composers such as César Camarero, Robert Lemay, Paco Toledo, J. Ramón Hernández, Ignacio Marín, Ramón Roldán, Pedro Guajardo, Enrique Busto, Romero Alfonso Ramirez, Jose Zarate, Nuria Núñez…
During the year 2014 marked the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Cuarteto Itálica
